
The 12th Arab Energy Conference opened on the 11th local time in Doha, the capital of Qatar, with ministerial level officials from Qatar, Iraq, Kuwait, Algeria, Libya and other countries attending. The conference will last for two days and the attending officials will discuss topics such as energy security, environmental protection, and sustainable development. Qatar's Minister of State for Energy Affairs and President and CEO of Qatar Energy Company, Saad Kabi, stated at the meeting that countries around the world should strengthen cooperation, achieve complementary advantages, and work together to address energy challenges. He called on the international community to increase investment in low-carbon technologies, promote the development of renewable energy, formulate a realistic and scientific roadmap, and achieve a just, balanced, and sustainable energy transformation.
